Florists in the United States range from neighborhood flower shops with a walk-in cooler to studio designers who work only by appointment for weddings and events. Most retail florists build arrangements to order, deliver the same day when you call before early afternoon, and belong to a wire network (FTD, Teleflora or BloomNet) that passes out-of-town orders to a local shop. Ordering from the shop directly rather than through a national website usually means more flowers for the money, because no order-gatherer takes a cut. Flower markets and wholesalers sell loose stems and bunches, often early in the morning, and many now open to the public. Flower farms grow seasonal blooms such as dahlias, peonies and sunflowers and sell by the bucket, by subscription or as pick-your-own.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 9 am–6 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Extremely satisfied with Northern Blvd Florist! When buying flowers I do my best to support local and it took a while for me to search on Google for them but I’m glad I took the time. The website was easy to use and seamless to navigate, photos of the flowers were accurate to reality and they printed my note beautifully. Got a notification when it was delivered. I sent an email saying thank you and they responded so quick. Super pleasant experience. Thank you everyone!

We’ve been working with Northern Blvd Florist for years now, and this review is long overdue. Our company frequently hosts events at the LaGuardia Marriott Hotel, and they originally recommended them to us. Since then, Northern Blvd Florist has handled arrangements for several of our events, and somehow each year is even better than the last. They’re professional, reliable, and genuinely great to work with. They’re mindful of budgets without ever making things feel limited, deliveries are always on time, and the delivery team is consistently kind, thoughtful, and professional. You can tell they really care about their work and their clients. We’ve had nothing but positive experiences and highly recommend them for both corporate events and personal occasions.

Thank you so much for such a beautiful spray for a beloved relative who passed. Presentation and fullness were great. I placed my order online and gave them instructions, which were followed. I also called them, I just wanted to make sure they understood my request. They were attentive and professional. I highly recommend this business for any flowers arrangements in the NYC area.

If I could give more stars, I would. The craftsmanship, high-quality flowers, and top-notch, detail-oriented customer service are unmatched. Highly recommended! I reached out to Northern Blvd Florist and spoke with George during a time no one ever wants to experience. My family had just lost my brother, who passed from cancer, and unexpectedly. My brother was a musician; a guitarist and singer-songwriter. As my family brainstormed what we envisioned for his services, we didn’t want many floral arrangements, just one large piece in the shape of a guitar. Honestly, it felt like we were daydreaming and imagining something we didn’t even know existed. But it did. With a seamless and deeply compassionate approach, George handled our request with a quick turnaround and flawless delivery. He allowed us to customize the piece, showed care in every detail, walked me through the process, and gave me complete confidence that we were in the best hands. The piece was even more magnificent in person than anything we saw online or could have imagined. The attention to detail and level of skill were breathtaking. Our guests and loved ones were in awe. It was perfect, and we were so proud of ho
